Hoy No Circula: Restrictions for Vehicles in CDMX

This Monday, April 28, 2025, vehicles with yellow stickers and license plate endings 5 and 6, that have hologram 1 or 2, must remain sheltered at home in the 18 municipalities bordering the State of Mexico and the 16 boroughs of Mexico City due to the Hoy No Circula program.

On this occasion, the double Hoy No Circula will not be applied as there have been no problems with ozone particles, and the Mexico Megalopolis Environmental Commission (CAMe) has not issued an alert for poor air quality. This program is only activated in cases of environmental contingency to reduce pollution.

Vehicles authorized to circulate on this day are electric, hybrid, those with ecological license plates or exempt hologram, those carrying hologram "00" or "0", those used by healthcare workers, ambulances, school transport vehicles, personnel and funeral processions, as well as vehicles for persons with disabilities with a permit to exempt from Hoy No Circula.

Also allowed to circulate are public passenger service and tourism vehicles with federal or local plates, motorcycles with a valid Tourist Pass or permit granted by the Ministry of Environment, and cars with red, blue, pink, and green stickers.
